Local Greek cuisine dominates the area with its many restaurants. Staff and owners are as always very hospitable, generous and friendly. Porto Heli village offers a good selection of restaurants and bars, and some local shops. You will also find tavernas on the beach and by the sea side, such as Taverna Maistraki which is very close to Villa Epsilon Horizon. Here you will also find Maistraki beach, open to the public.

There are beaches everywhere. Some bigger and some smaller and more secluded. Most of the beaches are also open to the public and therefore free of charge. You will discover new beaches, rocks and grottos all the time. The water temperature is as always in Greece, very comfortable.
Peloponnese is the ancient Greece where the old capital of Nafplio, and Sparta are situated. The ancient theatre of Epidauros is only half an hour drive away and so is the city of Olympia where you can run on the original Olympic stadium.
The area has a lot to offer. Poros, Ermioni and Mycenae are also nearby. From the little port of Costa by Porto Heli there is a 10 minute ferry ride across to the car free island of Spetses. There is also a ferry crossing to the island of Hydra.
If you are not into ancient places, then there are watersport activities and diving/snorkling in Porto Heli. The hilly landscape makes off road biking very attractive. One hour drive will take you to Corinth and the Corinth canal where it is possible to bungee jump out and into the old man made canal.
